29 September was the deadline for online registration. If you missed it, you can still register on-site. Please fill in the registration form and bring the printed document to the on-site registration desks at the CityCube Berlin as from Saturday 18 October.

ECNP Brain Day 2014
It is still possible to buy tickets for the ECNP Brain Day in Berlin on Friday 17 October at the Radialsystem V. The goal of this day is to bring the science from the congress to the general public (programme in German). Mark Millan wins Ariens Prize
We would like to congratulate Mark Millan, ECNP Secretary and valued member of our Executive Committee, on winning the 2014 Ariëns Prize! This award is given by the Dutch Pharmacological Society, and previous winners include Nobel laureates. Mark Millan will give the accompanying Ariëns Lecture on 6 October in the Netherlands.

Targeted Network Meetings – you can still participate
On Wednesday 22 October, three Targeted Network Meetings will be held:
- Anxiety Disorders Network (ADRN) - Adult separation anxiety disorder: boundaries, causes and potential treatments
- European Network for Schizophrenia (EGRIS) - Hot issues in schizophrenia research
- Suicide Network - Opportunities and challenges for research in suicidal behaviour

ECNP Workshop – deadline 30 October
The next ECNP Workshop for Junior Scientists will be held on 12-15 March 2015.
You can still submit an abstract on or before 30 October 2014 for the chance to attend the next ECNP Workshop for Junior Scientists in Europe. Registration, accommodation and (almost all) travel expenses are paid for by ECNP.
Please note! Only applicants who have never before participated in an ECNP Workshop can be considered for this opportunity.

In 2015, we will again have our full ECNP Schools programme.
You can apply now for the ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology (1-6 March 2015, Venice, Italy) and for the ECNP School of Old Age Neuropsychopharmacology (19-24 April 2015, Venice, Italy).

Ruby Wax wins Expert Platform Media Award
The Expert Platform on Mental Health conferred its second Media Award, on Ruby Wax for contributions to destigmatising depression. The award was presented at a European Depression Day reception on 1 October 2014 in the presence of the European Commissioner Herman Van Rompuy.
The first Media Award was presented to András Becker for his work promoting awareness about depression in the Hungarian media.
